Market day! Wishing you Eid Mubarak from my family to yours. Lemon Posset 🍋for this evening. A British and delicious cream made with a very few ingredients. Perfect with the hot weather in Dubai. In a Turkish mood today and I just finished to bake some Turkish Pogacha. The smell of baking in the house is just unique. Khobz el Koucha (bread in the oven) for today. Made with plain flour and durum wheat fine semolina, fresh yeast, sunflower oil, some nigella seeds and water to assemble the dough. Baked in the oven. I’m a big fan of Turkish food and I made these yummy Turkish Pide. They look like a long boat and are filled with vegetables. Bourek Laâdjine for our Iftar. Bourek Laâdjine are similar to Spanish Empanadas. They are served as a starter with Chorba. Chorba Frik for our Iftar made with crushed green wheat. This soup is also called Djari means in Arabic Fluid/Runny and very famous in East of Algeria. Another Algerian dish for our Iftar, called M’tewem Marqua Hamra. This dish is from Algiers, capital city of Algeria and the original recipe is made with white sauce, at home we voted for the red sauce.
