The fondest mem…

“The fondest memories are made when gathered around the table”

A refreshing dessert for this evening called Palouza (similar to M’halbi or Muhalbiye). I just finished to prepare our Iftar for this evening. I made a yummy Dolma Qaraa or Courgettes Dolma, consists on stuffing courgettes with, minced meat, chopped parsley, chopped onion, rice and some spices. Saha ftourkoum means bonne dégustation in Algerian language. Ramadan starts tomorrow and I wish you the most blessed and peaceful Ramadan Kareem, to all who observe this holy month 🌙 Chrik Bariouch (Chrik is a brioche made with fresh yeast and flavored with orange blossom water and decorated with sesame seeds on the top). From the city of Kasentina. Weekend and Baghrir 😋I will never get tired of these Baghrir made with 100% semolina and soaked in hot honey. Delicious and sweet Oranais for today. A very tasty pastry that was created in Oran (northwest of Algeria) made with a homemade puff pastry, pastry cream and half apricot (better when they are fresh or canned apricots). Hello ☺️ El mechkouk , a delicious old Algerian pastry . Looks like French macaron or Italian amaretti . Made with few ingredients: almond powder, icing sugar, egg white and few drops of natural food coloring.
