Mango Tarte Tatin with Spiced Syrup| Summer Menu | Dessert

Here’s the third and last surprise of the summer menu, the famous and fabulous ‘Mango Tarte Tatin with Spiced Syrup’ realized by Angie from ‘The Novice Gardener’. So good! 🙂

El mechkouk , a delicious old Algerian pastry . Looks like French macaron or Italian amaretti . Made with few ingredients: almond powder, icing sugar, egg white and few drops of natural food coloring. Couscous with courgettes (zucchini). There is a thousands manner to prepare couscous (with white sauce , spicy sauce, with vegetables , with fish , with raisins, pomegranate, wild lavender and many more…) Today I made my couscous with some steamed courgettes and served with hot milk on the top, seasoning with salt and pepper. This version of couscous is a specialty of the city of Cherchell located in west coast of Algiers and famous for Roman ruins. Gloomy and rainy outside it makes being at home more cozy. A good pretext to make some Croquets or Biscotti à l’algérienne. The aroma of freshly baked bread is always reminds me good souvenirs of my childhood in Algiers. Mouskoutchou for today, Mouskoutchou is the most popular cake in Algeria. Simple to prepare and delicious. This cake is between a mix of a Sponge Cake and Génoise, fluffy and flavored with lemon zest. Hello, More and more Quince paste (quinces are still on sale in the market) and I just enjoy making them☺️ Hello, hello 😉 Delicious shortbread cookies, simple and tasty☺️
